Believe it or not. If it weren't for Dallas and all the small towns. Texas would be more liberal than California. I shit you not.
That is total 100% bullshit.
It's true.
Houston, Austin, San Antonio and El Paso.
Very liberal.
When was the last time you were in Texas?
Pssst... Houston is the most international city in the country. Just a heads up.
I know this because I still have a house and property there.
We spent a weekend in Dallas a couple of years ago for our granddaughter's graduation from SMU. I was honestly surprised at how friendly people were there. Even went out of their way a few times to be nice.
Some very cool people come from Texas. Just off the top of my head, there's Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, BFG, Doug Sahm, etc., etc. It just makes one wonder how they could keep electing so many dickheads to statewide office.
Granddaughter was quite happy to go home to NYC, though, after she graduated.
My step-daughter (granddaughter's mom) has owned a two unit AirB&B in Austin for the past 10 or 15 years. She got it partly so she would have a place to stay during SXSW. She's ready to bail, though, due to Austin being overrun by so many Elons.
I spent some time in Houston about 10 years ago, including some work in Texas City. Drove down there from Dallas with a detour on the way back to San Angelo. The main thing I remember about Houston was that it was crowded, it smelled bad and the water tasted shitty. Oh, yeah, and Tex-Mex or whatever they called was pretty disappointing after being in San Diego for the past 50 years.
Oh yeah, and DFW sucks ass.
