Mikey - question
Do you see a lot of snakes on your property?
Just curious. Looks like it would be very serpent-friendly. Lots of hiding spots.
More of our property is woods/creek than the fenced maintained area and I see more than I’d like.

Re: Mikey - question
I think I can answer this question.
I NEVER saw one snake the entire time I lived in SoCal.
I think all the snakes moved to Arizona.

Re: Mikey - question
Surprisingly few, mostly garter snakes and an occasional California king snake, which are very cool. I guess rattlers are fairly common around here in open spaces, especially spring and early summer, but I've never seen one in our yard in 25 years. We had a big rattler in our back yard in a much more suburban area around 1993.Sudden Sam wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:55 pm Do you see a lot of snakes on your property?

I found this little guy stuck in our pool skimmer about five years ago, and let him go in the yard. I ran over a pretty big California king with my riding mower once and felt really bad about it.

Kinda cosmic that the Pope passes and Sam is inspired to post about snakes.

Basically Mikey has seen 3 snakes in 25 years.
Was it really that hard to say "Pickle was right?"

Pickle who? You? I thought you disavowed that identity. You introdouched yourself as a long time LURKER.
But the question "Pickle was right?"... now that is something to consider. Not the point about snake habitats, but the whole socio-political scenario. Ramifications involving global events.
A proper hell on earth punishment for the whole world population could very well be
Pickle was right?

Let's break it down...
Right off the bat we have a problem. You wrote:I think
Yet you didn't. The question was:You wrote:I can answer this question.
I could be wrong, but I doubt Mikey ever invited you over to his crib and you therefore have likely never been there.Sudden Sam, to Mikey wrote:Do you see a lot of snakes on your property?
Perhaps you should've gotten out more. There are PLENTY of snakes in SoCal.You wrote:I NEVER saw one snake the entire time I lived in SoCal.
The initial problem rears its ugly head again, in much the same way a SoCal rattlesnake does. You wrote:I think
Now this is just a retardation problem. Nothing can be done to help. You wrote:all the snakes moved to Arizona.
So getting back to your question:
Other than possibly the part about having never seen a snake in SoCal, where, exactly, were you right about anything? You wrote:Was it really that hard to say "Pickle was right?"

Stanley has handled thousands of Spitting Trouser Cobras. He just couldn't see them with his eyes glazed shut.
