Meltdown!
Through the years, many board members have had meltdowns.
And many have been run.
What is the most recent meltdown you recall?
In fairly recent times, Buttsy and Kierland were both sent -----> OUT.
Were they meltdowns?
I know Kierland was unfortunatly posting repeatedly about how he could physically whip @ss on other board members.
And that was out of line.
But I don't know that I would really call them "threatening" posts.
They were mostly extreme bravado and stupidity, imo.
And I actually like Kierland.
But anyway, he should have dialed that back by a lot.
So, I'm not sure his was a meltdown.
But anyway...
Your thoughts?
Most recent melt?

Not recent but . . .
Seems like KCScott lost his mind over the flat erf stuff...
And he got banned at the late .pedo.net after someone with his logon sent nasty emails to most of the regular posters. He was set up but they dumped him anyway.

Re: Meltdown!
What did Buttsy do?
As I recall, he pushed things over Roach's line, and that was that.
I think he and Roach might have had some unpleasant history before the incidents that -----> pushed things over the edge (not of the fl@t earth).

Re: Meltdown!
I never wanted Kierland (or anyone) banned. If posters all agreed on every issue, this clambake would be boring as fuck.
Not to try to speak for Roach, but I think Kierland’s never-ending repetitive responses just got so monotonous that it drove Roach and others (me included) nuts. When I suggested that, even at my advanced age, I was probably in better health than 80% of the board, Kierland immediately responded that he could beat my ass. Seemed like a rather bizarre comeback, but it didn’t bother me. Just seemed a tad high school-ish. Perhaps Kierland was in the throes of a mental breakdown at that point. I neither know, nor do I care. I hope he’s relaxed some in the interim.
I long for the days of my “debates” with index. I understand that he passed away many years ago. Lotsa good folks on the boards , adversaries and friends alike, have succumbed to the ravages of time and disease. RIP to all.

What the hell did KCScott do re flat earth bullshit? I must have missed it. Does not seem worthwhile to truly get worked up over trolling or the willfully ignorant.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Tue Mar 11, 2025 12:07 amFl@t earth has caused a lot of people (on multiple boards) to trip out.Meat Head wrote:Seems like KCScott lost his mind over the flat erf stuff...

Re: Meltdown!
Scott posted a fair amount in some of the fl@t earth threads, but I don't think that is what led to his departure.

I don't recall him getting banned at .net. I don't recall him posting there very much anyway.

The daily TDS meltdown that goes on here is pretty epic. 135 page thread dedicated to Mean Orange Man and friends who don't give a damn if you all shit and rolled in it.

I don't think that qualifies as a meltdown. Meltdowns are acute. TDS is a chronic disorder.
Re: Meltdown!
I hear you! Maybe you should try starting a thread about something different. Possibly something interesting that happened to you today or last year. What do you think about the importance of honey bees? Where does your mother live? Take the reins here. Be part of the solution. I’ll bet you get a lot of highly appreciative recognition.

OK. I vaguely remember that handle. I guess I never really paid much attention to either him or his shit trolls.

Re: Meltdown!
there was a melt that some may remember whereby DJ Vertigo spammed the board with something like
in every thread on page 1 at the time.
never found out the cause of it, didn't witness a defeat in smack, just seems like it was spontaneous combustion
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
probably the ugliest and longest running of melts I saw was usmcobra's fit about Nick Frisco calling BS on claims that cobra's young relative had cancer or something. At the time the board was replete with thoughts and prayers threads (fukk you very much Roger) and our friendly jarhead couldn't be content with posting once about it and moving on, nooooooooooo.
only redeeming value to the whole thing was frisco's over the fukking top hallucinogenic lines of attack, for instance likening cobra's story to the injustice perpetrated on the Rosenberg's during their spy trial and how their sentence is an everlasting smear on all of us forever.
cobra kinda disappointed by employing crying jags as his tactical response to what Frisco presented.
oh it was a mental-cripple fight for the ages.

A lot of pedo smack gets thrown down, but cobra seemed to be the real deal, imo. A very weird creep.

To what end? So you and a cabal of TDS sufferers can shit all
over it with Muh Truump? Couple posters around here are obsessed and the board is not better for it.

Tim Walz is channeling his inner Kierland, saying he could kick most of MAGA's ass.
