From down 20-14 Stanford has blown this game open 38-20 now in the fourth.
Washington blowing Wazzu out it looks like Stanford vs SC in the CCG.
Love with another gritty standout performance after being held in check for the first half.
Redshirt freshman QB KJ Costello with four TD passes making his claim to that position for the foreseeable future.
All in all a great night for Stanford football.
Still gotta win this one though.

Good game, Mikey. Notre Dame has reached absolute Kelly. Same shit every year.

The Domers are tough. I really thought they would win this game.
The Stanford defense really came through except for those two long pass plays. Something happened there to ND with the sudden turnovers. Totally took the wind out of the team.

I always like watching these two teams play. Always competitive. Always classy. Never any bad blood or acrimony .
A great all round rivalry.

Re: Loving this
I love it. They remind me of ND under Holtz. Never panic, they stick to their game plan and just wear you the fuck down. Costello looks like a damn good QB. ND seemed to be a half step away, a number of times, from getting to him and bringing him down but he would slide up a little and throw a nice ball. He has great pocket presence.88 wrote:I like Stanford’s style of play. Would be interesting to see what Stanford’s HC could do with Saban’s recruits.
ND hired the wrong Stanford coach. Not that Shaw would ever come to ND, but this guy and this offense would be the one to try and replicate.
Kelly's bullshit offense is going nowhere for the time being, but when they do decide to finally make a a change, I hope they look to Stanford, Wisconsin and Michigan State as templates for the type of team and program you want to have. That type of football can and will be successful at Notre Dame. I just don't think the administration cares enough to demand excellence on the football field.
