Add some sloppy ass kids screaming alongside her, and make sure the whole clan are all walking around the store while still eating their ice creams and McDonald's, and this...

...IS Walmart.

It's the downfall of Pax Americana, neatly summed up in one lazy, flabtastic, completely lacking in self-awareness disgrace of a pixelated tableau.

Mace, unless you moved, and now you're living in Prague, there is NO WAY you aren't seeing hordes of slovenly, unkempt fat people in your local Walmart.

A Walmart...in Iowa?

That's not to say I wouldn't see a fat person in the store, but not the types reflected in these pictures. Not all poor people are fat, slovenly, and unclean. I see the same people at the local grocery store and restaurants in town. If I want to see the fat, slovenly, unkept people....I'll go to the casino at the beginning of the month when those folks get their welfare/disabilty checks.

The other possibility is that those type folks are the norm in Iowa...so they would obviously NOT stand out....

It is estimated that 2/3rds of Americans are overweight so there's a pretty good chance that you're going to see fat people everywhere, not just at Walmart.

And where the fuck else can you get an oil change while you do some grocery shopping... or get a 90 day prescription filled for $10?

RACK Walmart.

WW, there's 'overweight', then there's 'Walmart overweight', and they're not the same thing.

'Walmart overweight' is like 'Nascar Fan overweight', or 'Montgomery, Alabama's 147th Annual Baby Back Ribs Cook-Off overweight', or 'Oprah Fan overweight'.

Hey, I bought a nice flatscreen tv at Walmart, a couple months ago.

I survived the trip, but I put on twelve lbs while I was there...all in my neck. Like any good Walmart shopper, by the time I trudged out of there I'm pretty sure I looked like a Shar-Pei.

I wish I would have had a digital camera years ago when I was in college. I had this gig as Loss Prevention in a semi-ghetto Walmart in Austin. We used to have this black dude come in everyday wearing a red windbreaker and a matching batting helmet. He would load baseball gear into a cart and prceed to stroll the store for about 4 hours, then just dump the cart by Layaway and walk out.

Bwaaahaaa!!

Was it Dusty Baker?

You know, Toddowen's idea is pure genius. We want a real PET contest? There you go. Everyone goes to their local Walmart, so there's no having to decide between types of pics. It'll just come down to the funniest pics and captions, and there is just no way that wouldn't end up being an awesome thread.

The captions alone would be archive worthy.

Fuggen brilliant idea, Toddowen.

It is funny. Just as funny are the people who need shit like this in their lives to feel better about themselves. I laugh at them just as hard, they represent a different brand of "pathetic". If you're one of them, I'm laughing at you. This post with the defense of same is funny too, I'm laughing at it as well.

LMAO, good stuff dude.

On a serious not, this board has gotten me to respect SCIENCE as the end all and be all and SCIENCE says that many of those folks cannot help but be fat, it is genetics. Further, many of the left wing Obama types have claimed that those people are fat due to corporate meddling with the quality of food. I support my President, I do sympathize with those people and think they should get FREE healthcare to address their weight.

Mace, I don't recall anybody saying everybody who shops at Walmart is a fat slob. Of course not. (Skinny meth heads shop there too.)

They sure do attract fat slobs, though. Trashy people tend towards the fat and sloppy, and Walmart tends to attract trashy people, because of it's all-in-one-ness, and its low prices. Also, no, you typically will not find Walmarts located in the nicest parts of town...assuming a town has a 'nicest part'.

That take is as ignorant as it is foolish.

I guess you are next liable to say the same thing about a Lowes or a Home Depot because inevitably, once a Walmart gets built, they're not far behind, as well as other numerous small specialty shops and restaraunts.

Walmarts are a developmental magnet and contrary to your ignorant pre-conceived notion that you must've arrived at 20 years ago, they get built up in the 'burbs and the newer parts of town, not the slums and ghettos of the inner city.

It's obvious Van has not surfaced outside California ever. That's so far off from the truth it's not even funny. In fact, Wal-Mart has hundreds of stores across America in the nicest of areas in that town. To say otherwise is just plain wrong and proves you need to get the fuck out of wherever it is you live more than once every decade.

I've not once seen a Wal-Mart in a ghetto. Van just buys into every stereotype he hears and runs with it. This is part of the reason I believe m2 is his troll. The similarities are simply amazing.

Like I said, assuming a town has a 'nice part of town'. Most small towns don't. They don't have that type of strata. They have their residential areas and their business areas, which are fairly all-encompassing. If a city includes a suburb, that's typically where the Walmart will be located. It won't typically be downtown, or in the high rent district.

Beverly Hills doesn't have a Walmart. Cerritos does. San Francisco doesn't have a Walmart. Selma does.

Iowa doesn't offer such differentiation.

If you shop at "Wally World".... you've run outta money.

People with money wouldn't step one foot into the shithole, known as "Wally World".

You see, people with MONEY.... value MONEY.

It makes more sense to buy a "quality" product at $100 and keep said product for 10 years... as opposed to buying a cheap ass product every year for 10 straight years at $50.

This is why you'll never see a "Wally World" in a community that values "quality over a cheap-ass product that is sold at Wally World and is made in China".

Now you know why some of us live next to the Pacific Ocean and are 2 hours away from the most amazing mountain range in the lower 48 and some live in a fucking cornfield.....

It's usually the transplants from Cali and the East Coast who price all the native Iowans out of the expensive homes because their dollar goes so much further. A 3br rowhouse in SW DC goes for almost three times your house, you fucking idiot.
What does the cost of a home in Cali or the East Coast have to do with how nice of a place I live??? The area of town I live in costs a shitload more than the average home/condo/apartment in Iowa/DSM. You can't compare my area to the rest of this state.

Van, there is a Wal Mart about 3 miles down the road from me and this is one of the most affluent, goody-goody, ordinary white collar towns in America. I mean, if they remade Pleasantville, they'd set up in one of the neighborhoods a few blocks down from the Wal Mart.

Somehow, I'm also reasonably certain that something in West Des Moines bears fuckall resemblance to Beverly Hills, much less San Francisco...or Newport Beach...or Santa Barbara, or...etc.

S_M, seriously, this is what we're dealing with here. We've got a clown here who is attempting to compare West Des Moines, Iowa with truly wealthy, high-end, Walmart-free locales.
