I've never seen this many Tigers at an All-Star Game plus Leyland will manage...definitely will enjoy this one. Gonna stuff the ballot box to get Bondo onto the team.

Curious to why Sheffield wasn't included with the reserves or listed as the last man in. I wonder if he told Leyland he didn't want to play. He has the numbers to be there. I think all of the Tigers on the All-Star team are worthy...maybe Pudge is the most debateable one. I certainly believe Victor Martinez and Posada should've been the catchers over him. I think Bonderman and Sheffield were All-Stars up to this point.

In the NL, good to see Prince Fielder slip ahead of Pujols for 1B voting. He's the NL MVP up to this point.

My picks for final vote: Escobar and Webb...but I'll be voting for Bonderman (it's the homer in me)

My picks for starting pitchers in the game: Haren vs. Peavy

Futures Game today...

World roster: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb ... 7&sid=milb
US roster: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb ... 7&sid=milb

Cameron Maybin will be in the game...have yet to see him play. He could be in centerfield with the Tigers as early as next year. If Monroe fizzles out this year, maybe they'll consider allowing Maybin come up and Granderson will move to left. The Tigers lineup is scary enough as it is...add some speed at the top of the order like Maybin and move Granderson down the order to the 6th or 7th spot. Maybin is only 20 so there isn't a huge hurry to get him up with the big club but I bet he moves up from A during the season to AA.
