JoePa vs Booby

Post by T REX »

Forget all-time wins..............

JoePa OWNS Booby 7-1 head-to-head.

Ouch.

To be fair - 6 of those came when Bobby was the WVU HC. In those days, the 'Eers were losing to teams like the Richmond Spiders - they were NOT good.

Thanks PSUFAN. I wouldnt call WVA a powerhouse back then. Hell, at least Bobby had the balls to play Penn St. Thats what I think Bobby is going to remembered for when he is done. In the 70s and 80s Bobby went on the road and played anybody, in order to get his program attention and big game experience. It played dividens down the road for him.

T Rex, go eat a dick. Whats Bobby's record against UF? Thought so.

Cicero, I don't think Bobby had much choice about playing PSU in those days...I doubt he would have chosen to do so, actually. I think his program-building days really began with FSU. Have a look at the teams WVU was playing in his days there:

I doubt he had much to do with schedule-making, to be honest...

Bingo.
When I first read Trix's post, there hadn't even been a reply yet. Suffice it to say, I didn't think it was worth the reply to point out what PSUfan eventually did anyways.

Sorry Cic, hate to dig this thread back up but this comment kinda stuck with me and I had to research it. Bowden is 17-14-1 vs. UF in his tenure with FSU and UF leads the all-time series 28-19-2. Not quite the domination that is perceived...
Go Bucs, Gators
