This is exactly how I feel about last night's performance. Best songs of the night were "We Looked Like Giants" and "Transatlanticism" — and it's only a coincidence that both happen to be my favorite songs from the last album. Those were the only two songs it seemed they put their heart and soul into while playing. Music got louder, they improvised and added extra choruses and instrumental breaks and all that jazz.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:Decent show. They didn't unimpress with anything they did, and they didn't mind blow either. All around just a solid show.
99% of the audience consisted of 16-year olds and under! We stood in the "Senior Citizens Section" with all the other 20-somethings. It was so strange. Before the show, we asked the kid in line next to us how old he thought we were because we were bored and curious if we looked our age amongst the young'ns, and he said,"23? 22? 21? 20?" I wanted to give him a hug because the numbers kept getting lower. ;)
Stars opened up for them. Decent performance. The female singer's voice was very pretty. They totally reminded me of Shelleyan Orphan. Anyone remember them?
All in all, glad I went to the show. Not sure I'd drive two hours to see them again though, but it's all about rock'n roll lifestyle baby! I love being at work on only four hours of sleep!
