MMM, Mother Rucker, good memories of good times. I recall some of the hellacious storms that rolled through there on occasion when I was stationed there. Keep your head down, SS. We're supposed to get a good bit of hail up here as well.

Re: Weather
Keep checking in, Sam, so at least we'll know you're still with us.
Re: Weather
Tornadoes really bad. you don't get a lot of warning if one is really headed your way. Weather Channel advice for folks in a trailer manufactured home is to get into your car, fasten your seat belt, and hope your car has a high crash rating. Not too encouraging.

Re: Weather
SS, I think so, but truthfully, we never went out to Ozark unless we were heading to Montgomery or Columbus. Most of our time during the various periods of living there was spent in either Enterprise or Daleville. We originally lived in a trailer park outside of Daleville until housing opened up on base and all the other times we lived in rentals in Enterprise fairly close to Lowe Field.
I still miss the sound of dozens of turbine engines spooling up at dawn and listening to that distinctive Huey blade count as they lifted off for a day of training.

You're probably large enough to generate your own climate patterns.

Re: Weather
It's rained for 13 straight days here in KC. Cold rain again today with 35 mph wind gusts. Haven't seen a completely clear blue sky since February, it seems, when we had several days of damn near 80 degrees.
This has gotten beyond old, downright depressing is what it is.
This weekend is supposed to be warm and sunny. Time to get out and do some long needed yard work.

Suffice to say that in July and August, we'll probably have 13 straight days of 95 plus degree temps with 113% humidity and I'll look back on this stretch of piss poor weather wistfully.

Dang, the occasional rains and heavy winds were my casual observation. Reading the news, the highest gust around was 90MPH, up to 60 locally. A tree fell on a guy, and a gust knocked over a small plane that was coming in to land.
