Uh, no.
Well, uh... I agreed with you. Again, props to the Selection Committee with informed voters and not the computers and biased polls. As you watched the game, Alabama had tOSU backed up deep in it's own territory multiple times. Urban out-coached Saban and Kiffen.
Here is what we saw at USC when Lane was in charge... Kiffen didn't use the TE in his schemes and yet, Saban brought him in to do the same damn thing at 'Bama. Remember, Kiffen was David Carr's backup QB at Fresno State and never played. I never heard of him until he got a free ride from his dad Monte to advance a "career" in coaching. Jeff Tedford never let Lane on the field at Fresno State but only to hold a clipboard and learn theory. He didn't learn the Tedford system when Jeff made Trent Dilfer look good years earlier.
What is exciting for CF is now Harbaugh is at Michigan. It's a race to see whether he or Urban has "heart issues" again. The B1G will be fun to watch and the have-nots in that conference are going to start getting more pressure to produce more than they already have.
The SEC really was the best years ago as a conference. Their image of being great has been exposed when it comes to polling based on the past. Making these current teams compete in a more fair format is what we see now. Most people here see that, or already knew that. An 8 team playoff would be the most fair. With an 8 team playoff, you won't necessarily need a Selection Committee.
Oregon will beat tOSU. They would have beat Alabama just the same... this year.
