It's not surprising that once he quit doing the needle he started getting injured.

You obviously know shit about steroids, then. I haven't seen a more ignorant statement on this board since D-Town Mike tried to kick field goals on third down as a safety measure.

Feel free to shut the fuck up and place yourself on read-only until further notice.

I kind of had my suspicions about Gagne. He never threw that hard as a starter and he looked pumped up from pictures of him as a rookie. The whole breaking-down thing is probably another tell that was on something. I don't think it's the same deal with Prior and Wood...I think both of those guys just have bad mechanics. Gagne was a "piece of crap" and then all of a sudden became the most dominant closer in the game for a couple years. You can't help but be curious to why that happened...

You mean, you never noticed how baggy his uniform was? Wait, you're a Dodger fan.......there's no way someone as cherished as Gagne could have cheated.
True story...A friend of ours who used to work for the Dodgers told me that one day he walked into the training room and the trainer was in there with Gagne and Kevin Brown. He had needles. Well my buddy says, "I shouldn't be seeing this, should I?" The trainer says, "No." He walked out. My wife works in the sports industry out in LA and she was talking to one of the announcers the other night and she asked point blank, "Are Gagne's injuries related to steroids?" The announcer said, "You figure it out."

Take it for what it's worth.

Yup, Gagne would be the first Dodger pitcher in history to blow out his arm. :meds:

Never happens. Players never blow out a muscles, tendons, and ligaments in sports, not at all. Who would think a major league pitcher that rips the shit out of their arm could screw something up. Um, there's a reason these guys can not go every 3-4 days throughout a season people.

Um, I don't know shit about it and neither do you guys. Neither of your statements qualify for jack, Lax but maybe where there's smoke....but for the most part, you got a bag of shit in your hands. If your subbing as a writer for The Enquirer, that might explain it. Yea, I never get thrown out of an office when I walk into a coversation I should no be a part of. I would never think that people would be doing things at work that are none of my business. They must be trying to embezzle money since they said, "can you give us a sec?" All heresy.

As far as Gagne not being able to dominate before...wrong. That is one ignorant baseball statement. Dude had 3 years in before going to bully to work it out. He came out putting down 30ks to 30 inngins, 79/101 and 130/151. Yea, those are not dominating numbers at all for a guy in his FIRST 3 SEASONS on a shit squad. Who would think a pitcher would need a few years to figure it out in the majors. Dude use to dominate plenty but he always managed to hit the wall in the 3rd 4th or 5th inning and the flood gates would open on him. When he got a runner on, he lost it mentally and it even continued during his dominance. Yea, he worked his way out of it a hell of a lot more but when Gagne would give up a hit or walk, he always would lose a little focus. The closer role managed to give him the mental confidence (which is enormous) that he only needed 3 outs just about everytime he was out there and uh, it aso helped FOR THE DODGERS TO FINALLY GET SOME INTERIOR DEFENSE DUMBASSES. When Beltre developed along with getting Izturis and Cora working together, the infield was a solid wall that got outs. The defense was the biggest problem for LA during this time.

There is a lot more to look out than for you numbnuts to go on auto-steroid alert. You guys must hang out with your gossipping wives too much.

Everytime someone breaks down these days, it must be steroids. I won't be surprised if anyone gets caught and found out but you guys with the auto-switch...well, let's just hope you're not on any juries involving the death penalty anytime soon.

The officer said he saw a blood stained sweater...you figure it out. :meds:

I'm sorry dumbass. I guess people working for the team and people who are around it 24/7 don't kow shit. I guess since you're a fan it just doesn't happen. You're almost as bad as $C football fan saying their team doesn't have any off the field problems. Keep your head in the sand because there isn't a problem. Gagne is done and one of the primary reasons is roids. You can deny it all you want, but it's the truth. I guess the needle the trainer had was for their weekly allergy shots.

No, idiots. All I said is that you do not have shit and you do not. I think I said in my statement, "MAYBE" so learn how to read fuckwads. When you pull your head out of your asses, come talk to me. Until then read The FACTS of what I had to say. There is much more legitimacy in what I have said than what you have.

Wow, more peeps from The American Public, quick to judge and so easily swayed. Who would think it? :meds:

Idiots

So I guess you two are on Pujols' ass too, ha?

Yea, ya know who would think that a closer would not throw harder when he knows he has to hammer out 20 pitches as opposed to 100 when he goes out there. I guess I should assume Percival was roiding too then, ha?

Idiots, read what I said before you come in here and respond about me being a homer you dumbfuck. If you had a shred of baseball knowledge you would understand the argument and the possibility that your sources are full of shit. Lord knows many of your opinions here are and you have obvioulsy closed your acceptance of any other possibilities which also discredits you.

You're just out here now, "Nope, it's roids. must be roids. My woman said it's roids, my friend who used to work there said it's roids" They must be right, they got their PHDs. If this was such wide spread knowledge as you are trying to seel it, I think we would have heard from much more credible sources than yours. Oh but I guess, yours are sooo close to the organization and have the inside scoop that nobody else would. :meds:

I continue to apologize that the information I have comes from people who worked with the team. Let me re-type that because I think I screwed it up. People who used to work for the organization. You know the people who are around the team 24/7 and see things that the normal fan doesn't. Oh, and let's forget about the announcers who are also around the team on a REGULAR basis. You are a fan, and you have a rooting interest and will continue to defend someone you root for. I'm sorry, but what parts of my facts are wrong? the fact that I have spoken to people within the organization and you haven't? I guess they're wrong and you're right because you're a Dodger fan and you refuse to admit that one of yours did drugs. Keep believing that MLB players don't do roids. I'm sure you believe that guys like Derek Lowe are continuiously faithful to their wives. Sorry to piss in your wheaties.

Hey, Dumbass. I don't ever go to the spelling/punctuation/grammar smack card, but you really need to rethink calling people idiots. Then again, you go by the name Dumbass so I guess you know what you're talking about..

I meant he was trolling for reaction. Either that, or he really DOES have his head buried in the sand.

Hell, my all time favorite player is Jeff Bagwell. However, I have resigned myself to the fact he was probably on the juice. It wouldn't be called the Steroid Era if it was not widespread.

Yea, I don't think there is a problem with roids in baseball at all. :meds:

Idiots.

Nothing I said indicates that I am turning a blind eye to the problem.

All I am saying is that numbnut's wife was told "You figure it out". From who? Who the fuck is the highly credible source that stated this and who even knows what he intended by saying that. Maybe your woman is a nag and gets on people's nerves for all we know.

How does that make your claim a statement of fact? your saying I am supposed to take your statements as TRUTH that he did roids. The only fact is your boy saw a trainer with needles (allegedly) and someone said, "You figure it out". Is that suppose to sell a judge? That's what we are all supposed to be doing here right and I am supposed to pass judgement based on your "facts". How pathetic that you expect me to do so.

Your friend saw a trainer with needles? No fucking way. Really? A trainer had needles. Wow, he must have seen the label that read, "STEROIDS".

If you want to believe that your "24/7" ( ) sources have all the facts to support your opinion, you are just as off your rocker as you are claiming I to be because YOU, YOU (idiot) and your sources do not KNOW anything.

You understand that ya twat?

Same thing dipshit. I defended the possibility that this skank was a whore with cum laidened panties from multiple partners that was looking for a payday. Wow who would have thunk it.

Yup, Michael Irvin or The Duke Blue Devils don't know anything about that shit.

You guys should take a time machine back to the old west where you still think you are.

Lopsided, orc? See Ray Lewis? Yea and we still do not think twice even after seeing the incidents like with what happened to Joey Porter. Or the countless amount of athletes that have been jacked on the streets. So big Ray did something about it and won't sya anything that may incriminate himself. Like the politicians and badges tell us everything we should know. Lord knows that only the badge wearing peeps of this country can defend their lives without any consequences and everyone else must fess up and be judged.

It was so funny wartching George Carlin last night, talking about how this country is ran by people that do not want people that think for themselves, that question why our country is ran how it is and why the rich get richer, etc etc. So funny how half the people clapping were probably the very people he was talking about. Probably the same people many of you are. You fall in line so nicely.

See you in church on Sunday, hypocrites.

I continue my apology dumbass......I can read between the lines. You on the other hand can't even read the lines. I'm sure the needle was for allergy shots or vitamin supplements, or depo privera. If an executive for a team walks in on something....oh forget it. You just don't get it. It was vitamin shots.

That's exactly what MLB and the players want you to think. The thought that steroids turn you into a Bonds-like chartoon character is the single biggest misconception out there. It's not difficult to see, either. MLB is in an all-out damage-control mode to keep a lid on this lest one of its prime jewels falls into the trap.

Steroids do not make you huge.

Workouts and diet do that ... the drug is just the conduit.

What steroids will do is promote faster muscle repair, which translates to quicker recovery, which translates to players seeing peak performance for longer and longer periods during the season.

August slump?

Not any longer.

The dirty little secret, of course, is up on the mound. While everyone is looking for drastic changes in velocity, today's pitchers are simply trotting out there with the same ol' stuff ... and laughing all the way to the bank.

The difference?

That same ol' stuff in July and August is likely to be as good or better than its May counterparts. While that fastball might have a little extra pop from increased lean muscle, the bigger picture tells us that fastball will still be popping the catchers mitt late in the season ... when teams need it most.

Starters recover faster and can make more quality appearances. Relievers recover faster and can pitch more often. And closers tap into a physical advantage that can easily snowball into mental dominance on the mound. We're so busy looking for hard evidence of performance enhancement that we've, in turn, become blinded by (and even bored, to some extent) by mere performance maintenance.

Was Gagne on something?

Perhaps.

We don't really care, though ... do we?

As long as that prick with the freakish hat size burns, it's all good.
