to put the wood to Colorado.

Two teams in the transition of passing the torch from some of hockey's greatest players to some of the future's brightest stars.

Any of you, don't miss the hilights, and see Abescheir going matrix kung fu on the wings. Ridiculous save.

Now NBC has 2 ex-Kings on the studio show...Ferraro and Olczyk.

Wings are using and abusing the Avs right now, Abitcher is sucking ass right now.

Abeschier has had no chance on any of the goals. It's the Av's lack of defense that's killing them. They definately miss Adam Foote.

3-2

The Avs were badly outplayed in that game but they manned up when they needed a goal and Aebischer kept it from being a blow out. Their best stretch of the game was the beginning of the second period after being down 3-1. The Avs blueline just isn't the same without Foote back there. The Wings were able to do whatever they wanted with the puck in the attacking zone...and that was without Zetterberg. The Avs tried to challenge them physically but the Wings wouldn't bite and get into anything unnecessary.

Aebischer. Formerly of the AHL Hershey Bears.
Actually, in the highlight clip, he made three saves in a row. :!:
Great effort in a losing cause.

I've watched this about 50x in a row

I can't think of a better save. Cujo v. Dallas when he robbed Nieuwendyke.....maybe.

unbeleivable

Better than that shithead Dave Strader and Brian Gayward. They sounded like they wanted to give a blow job to Joe Thornton while ignoring the Kings altogether.

Gayward is a mighty schmuck announcer, giving praise to the Kings isn't allowed.

NBC needs to get rid of the shift clocks. All they used it for was for Thornton vs Norstrom, they were pretty much both on the ice at the same time!

Gayward and Strader must go!

He's solid...I wonder if the American audience can deal with the way he says "agaaainst".

Now I'm trying to understand...did he used to call the second game of HNIC? Is that why Jim Hughson is doing it now?

He did, but CBC exec and resident idiot Nancy Lee decided to let him go over the lockout. I guess she figured keeping dinosaurs such as Bob Cole and Don Wittman and insightless hacks like Millen and Healy was more important than keeping their best talent in Cuthbert.

Cuthbert is working at TSN doing CFL and NHL games for them, and now moonlighting for NBC on Saturdays.

Jim Hughson, who is the Canucks' play-by-play man for Rogers Sportsnet, also does the late game for CBC. Hughson was with TSN before Sportsnet came on the scene.
