Post by TheChief »

Percy Harvin's stats through six games so far this year. Man this guy is going to look good in Garnet and Gold!

34 catches - 666 yards - 10 tds
20 rushes - 265 yards - 9 tds
2 ints returned for 2 tds
1 KR td
1 PR td

Next year for the four wide sets, Drew/Lee will be throwing to Rouse, Carr, Harvin and Fagg. Wow.

What's ridiculous is your participation, or lack thereof, in the Pick'em Games as of late.

And yes, Fagg makes me laugh too. Heard something like "Fagg finds the hole in the zone and has to make a brilliant reacharound to make that play!"

Yes I know. With Hunting Season, School and blah blah blah I don't have enough time to analyze the picks. I suck unless I can do my research and I just don't have the time now. How you can work have a kid and run this operation is beyond me...props to you brother.

If you don't think we NEED him, then honestly...you are a dumbass. Did you see the stats? That is from the first six games of the season. Do you really think he is afraid of anyone on the Seminole Roster???

I can't believe you just said that you honestly don't think FSU could use the Number 1 player in the country. You didn't really just say that...did you?

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about!!! I gotta rep IN, so yes, I'm a bigtime bowhunting freak. Season started here Oct 1st. If I'm not working, studying or watching the Noles...I'm in the woods up a tree with my Switchback waiting for the Muey Grande.

Watching FSU plow UF and then hunting.....?.....I think I'm in heaven

Our General gun starts 2nd week in Nov. I have a bow and spent an entire summer a few years ago practicing daily. I got pretty deadly from 35 yards in. went out opening day and the skeeters tore me a new ass. being a bow hunter and realizing how crucial scent is I am sure you would understand how I could'nt fight off those bugs.
Now I just wait for gun and go with the trusty 3o-30 after we have had some cool weather to slow them skeeters down.
Being on a plantation we get unlimited doe tags from fish and game dept. so its pretty much on. Of course I'm always after the wall hangers.

My oldest turned 12 this year so it will be her first year of shooting. I can't wait till the day I get to blood her. wait that does'nt sound right....ah hell you know what I mean.

BTW, I believe Lefty has been known to take the life of a few white tails from time to time.

Now, get to studying this weeks picks........er, don't study just put a blid fold on and pick a few that way

Alright, alright! I'll make some damn picks!
Interesting...I just figured I was the only one on this board that was a hunter. I didn't really ever bring it up cause everyone is always so fucking PC about killing animals these days.

Good luck to you this fall and to Lefty as well!

They make a acorn scented repellent now called "No Stinkin Bugs". That should fix your problem, if your interested in dusting off that launcher...

I shot a doe Friday evening at 21 yds. Had to test out my new Switchback  Pretty cool, I have those Lumenocks on my arrows so the nock lights up as soon as it is released...really easy for a color blind fool like myself to follow the arrow all the way to the deer.

I'm waiting for a trophy buck now, last year I arrowed a monster 10 pt that got away. I still lay awake at times depressed that I didn't find him
Our rut should start in about 2.5 weeks... :D

Props to you for letting your daughter participate, pass on the tradition my man! When I was in college I used to tell dumb city PC fucks that on my first hunt my Dad made me take a bite out of the heart...like in Braveheart....It's amazing what people will believe when you are talking about hunting in general...

Percy Harvin cancelled his visit to FSU because of a family conflict. Did his whole family come to Hogtown on his trip? Nope, but they're coming to FSU to meet Bobby Bowden.

Did Harvin grow up a lifelong DIE HARD Gator fan? Nope, but he grew up a DIE HARD Nole fan. And I'm not talking about "liking" the Noles, I mean he lives and breathes the Noles.

Does Harvin think that Urban Meyer is the greatest coach of all time??? Wrong again, he thinks Bobby Bowden is the best of all time.

Here's what you need to do T Rex...get used to hearing Harvin's Name and Number over the loud speaker as the hang another 6 up in Gainesville two years from now.

Oh yeah, and look for the Noles to land that Johnson fella you guys got verbally committed right now... 8)

One more thing...you're not getting TEBOW either...Bama is.

Don't need Tebow....we have Josh portis who is a freaking stud. Also....carl johnson is signed and delivered. You have a glut at WR, we don't. He can step rigth in and play for us, he won't at FSU.

BTW......scoreboard. Love how we got introduced to Booby Field.

You just don't get it. UF wouldn't even be his second choice. Read between the lines for once...

Do you honestly think a die hard nole fan would think of playing for the Gators? No, but he would think about "playing" the gators...just like Freddie did Texas last year and XLee the year before that...
Nothing wrong with enjoying the recruiting process.

Johnson is not signed sealed and delivered until National Signing Day. Oh what a day that is going to be for the Noles.

Uhhh, no offense, but you guys always clean up. When have you had a poor recruiting class? The year after SOS left was rough for us just like the year after BB finally dies will be challenging for you.

Johnson is a Gator. I'll bet money on that. All I care about is some DBs and safeties with size a la Jones, who has us high. As far as recruiting smack goes? Dude, find something to do with your spare time.

Shotgun is only Oct 19-23. If you've already bagged and tagged out, I'm up for getting out on the land again that weekend. Hell, I just like getting out in woods when it's cold.

Chief,

Sure, it would be nice to get Percy but we dont NEED him. We have a log jam at Freshman wideout as it is. He looks like he will be a good one, but I would prefer him not butting heads w/ Fred, Carr, DeCody and Goodman the next 3 years. We need Lineman more than anything. We need to focus our recruiting on the big uglies b/c we are loaded at the skill positions.

Sure you need Tebow. You have no depth at QB. After Leak goes pro this year, who is going to back-up Portis? Gavin Dickey? Cornelius Ingram? If you think he will stay at QB, or in your system, for 4 more years, you're nuts. He's either going to change positions or transfer.

Tebow is a great QB for Meyer's system and he has family ties to UF. Meyer still wants him and is recruiting him very hard.

I can see why Trix says they don't need Tebow, they already have a stud QB committed in Snead. I would like for them to get Tebow because that might get Snead to reconsider and come to Texas but I doubt that will happen.

Texas is kicking the shit out of everyone in recruiting right now except we still need one more QB. I'm still holding my breath that Mustang will reconsider his commitment to Arkansas.

I honestly can see Mustain renigging on his verbal to Arkansas and going to Texas. It seems like every year, there is a top QB prospect that verbals early and then changes his mind i.e Perriloux, JaMarcus Russell.

Good point, I forgot all about Snead. If he holds true, T REX is right, they won't need Tebow.

As far as Mustain, his mom was very turned off by Texas and Momma holds all the cards when it comes to recruiting. They're not happy with Arkansas start and if Nutt loses his job, expect Mitch to go elsewhere.

And if ND can pull the upset this weekend, they may catch Texas in recruiting. All of their big targets are going to be there this weekend, except for Sam Young and one other offensive lineman.

This is the first I've heard of Mitch's mom not being happy with Texas, all the early reports were she was the one pulling for Texas while Mitch's Dad wanted him at ND or Arkansas. I think the big problem is that Mitch is in a state that if Arkansas does not get him they will burn his house to the ground if he chooses Texas.

There are two stud QBs next year in Texas that both have Texas as their favorite. Ryan Mallett will likely be the top QB recruit in the nation (per Burton). He goes to Texas high in Texarkana. That school is a pipeline to Texas which bodes well for the Horns. The other is Nathan Dick  who I actually know nothing about but he is supposed to be a total stud as well.

I'm sure USC didn't "need" Bush and had more pressing needs, but when a player like that is interested in your school, you recruit his ass off and always make sure you have room if he wants to come.

USC needs to get those 2 so cal RB's this year with all the talk of Reggie and Lendale leaving a year early.
The 2 studs at S will be good but USC needs corners pretty bad too, or just take a VT type of stand on drug charges and have Wright come back and hope Thomas heals 100%
USC went heavy with LBs last year but will still go hard after the kid from Colton.

The TE from Mission will wind up at USC, Sanchez will get him in to the school and Im sure USC will be in play for a few other local and national 5 stars
