I've read all the opinions and bullshit over the years. I've often wondered if any of you worthless fucks has put your money where your mouth is.
Anyone here a committee person?
Anyone here ever pass petitions?
Anyone here ever been active in a campaign?
I know one poster other than myself who has. Curious about the rest of you armchair quarterbacks.

All of the above for a solid 6 years. Then I decided I needed to spend my time making some more green instead of chasing that poli job. Some Damn Retard wrote:I've read all the opinions and bullshit over the years. Which party did you work for?
I've gone out of my way to sign petitions at signing parties and the like, but have never passed one myself. I have to much dislike for the common man to put myself in a situation where I have to speak to him where it's not absolutely necessary. People suck.

Why exactly is participation in an election as a volunteer for a candidate a prerequisite for having a political opinion? Some Damn Retard wrote:I've read all the opinions and bullshit over the years. I've often wondered if any of you worthless fucks has put your money where your mouth is.

and the best part is you walked away with a clear conscience. None of that " I just helped a fucking politician" guilt. : )
plus the added bonus of dropping a load. works for me.

It isn't. It does, however, give you an opportunity to have your opinion heard by those making public policy and law.Mister Bushice wrote:Why exactly is participation in an election as a volunteer for a candidate a prerequisite for having a political opinion? Some Damn Retard wrote:I've read all the opinions and bullshit over the years. It is entirely within your rights to spout off and complain....and not do a damn thing about it.

not if the candidates I support never get elected to office because they are not in the demo or repub party.

Anyone here ever been active in a campaign?
[quote]Yup.
Been active supporting the Liberal candidates in my riding during the past 2 federal elections along with the last provincial election.
They were both elected.
