Chase the shiny object, Mikey. That's a good boy.
So, what's your take?
Chasing the shiny object is exactly what Dear Leader is doing.
You probably think it makes sense. A good little gullible sycophant dumbfuckistan lapdog.
You're as much of a joke as he is. Just not as dangerous.

Why the fuck is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and the COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES, you know, the most powerful man in the world, playing such bullshit word games?
Words matter. A lot. Yet every single fucking day he says stupid shit. If he was still some D list celebrity on a reality show, stuff like that might be funny sometimes.
I guess they could keep the tourist's coming in and use the revenue to offset some of the cost. They could have autograph sessions with the prisoners in the gift shop too.
So all the bullshit about cuts to government is in order to save money is exactly that, bullshit.
And you support this?
I support government spending money within the scope of its proper role. Incarcerating criminals to protect the public falls within the proper role of government.
I look forward to your next WHATABOUTSOMEOTHERTHING. Shouldn't take long. Probably happen in your next post, if I were to bet on it.
Driving back from North Beach and cutting through the Marina and up and over Pacific Heights to Presidio Heights and my place in the Richmond. Could see Alcatraz on the way home. Yep, The Rock hasn't gotten any bigger. Still could probably hold around 300 people. There's a lot more room on Angel Island. That's where they held the Chinese when they first came to America. The West Coast version of Ellis Island.
I say we send all the illegals to North Dafuckistan and make HPG the warden. There's plenty of room for 12 million people. You could charge them $5 a taco bowl from your gas station tariff free.

I think it's a stupid idea that isn't going to happen. It closed because it was too expensive to operate and I don't see that those conditions have changed in the interim.
Interestingly enough even though it was the "supermax" prison of the day, the food was reputed to be excellent.

Apparently there is a shortage of capacity in the Federal prison system. I would think that there are much cheaper and efficient options. I guess we just need to trust the Trump administration to act responsibly and not just do whatever will give HPG and the rest of dumbfuckistan a raging hard on.

Sure. We could build a supermax in the Palisades. There is some newly available real estate.

lol
By the time California extracted all the permits and inspections to make sure it's "sustainable" the fukken thing would cost five billion dollars.

Fedzilla could easily stomp all over that shit. Eminent domain the fuck out of LA. This actually needs to happen.

You could charge some wealthy white collar criminals a steep surcharge for a room with an ocean view.

Still cheaper than giving every illegal $1,000 to leave the country when you got 12 million. I wonder which brainiac came up with that idea?

Now we're talkin'. Fauci could use one of those rooms and he's got plenty to spend on it.

No ocean views. Just a full on Soviet era brutalist turd right in the middle of the LA with a commanding view of the surrounding area.
