Do you need a tissue for all those tears?
Your decrepit geezer with jet lag and a cold fucked the party by endorsing an unelectable cackler whom was never trained for the position. Her defeat was inevitable because her rise to prominence was never genuine. Your party fucked you over. And they'll do it again. And you'll squeal and whine about the impertinence of it all while defending the very political process that leads to your failure. It's fascinating to watch and I am here for it.

And . . . we have the favorite fallback. Any criticism of Dear Leader, even though he’s the one making all of the decisions, is TDS. Where’s the Broken Record Troll?
HPG seems to have a case of Trump Deep-throating Syndrome.

With a large wash-out like this, a *bounce* back UP the next day is what is often seen.
The bounce might happen tomorrow, but will it really happen on a Friday?
I mean, with many countries having potential retaliatory tariff dildos aiming at Donald's anus, will investors feel comfortable holding equities over the weekend?
Markets don't like uncertainty.
It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

These "many countries" already have tariffs on American imports, idiot. What the fuck do you think Trump is responding to? The balance of trade favors the US in any "trade war." All of these pissant countries need to sell their shit here more than we need to buy it. That is the bottom line.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 11:22 pm

You seem a little defensive.
As reciprocal tariffs won’t kick in until April 9, countries have six days to try to cut a deal with the Trump team. But some may respond with retaliatory tariffs.
Canada is one of several US trading partners which has pledged to respond to tariffs with retaliatory measures.
Meanwhile, the European Union is “ready for a trade war” with the US and could “attack online services”, French government spokesperson Sophie Primas said.
She said the EU was preparing a two-stage rebuttal, with “an initial response”, to be put in place around mid-April, concerning aluminium and steel.
Then the EU also will target “all products and services”, with the measures probably ready at the end of April, Primas said, adding this was still being discussed.
“China is likely going to release some type of retaliation …,” Nick Marro, a principal economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit told Al Jazeera.

Dump sycophants cheer the tariff insanity on.
They do so because they are cult members who have trained themselves to drink ever glass of rancid juice the obese one pours for them.
They believe in magic.
The U.S. President is a hyper-active gerbil who has shown himself to be unpredictable, day-to-day.
Nobody seems to knows what tubby palns to do on any given day of the week.
One day he might very well roll out of the rack and call the whole tariff dealie OFF.
Right?
Yes, nod your little head up and down.
On what basis would manufacturers, because of this ADHD-rattled president's "policy," flock back into the States to set up shop?
Nope. Won't be happening.
It is preposterous.
The tariff percentages assigned to each country are also laffable. Completely laffable.
And on and on and on...
This madness makes no sense on any level.
It is a clown show on steroids.
Therefore, something else is going on.
Sorry, friends, but it is this...

Because he doesn't know what he's doing. Having a low IQ he is very reliant on the input of others. With so many people in his ears he's getting pulled in multiple directions, sometimes by people who aren't the brightest bulb (Laura Loomer, anyone?). So we're subject to the whims of Dump, depending on who has his ear that day.Softball Bat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:19 am The U.S. President is a hyper-active gerbil who has shown himself to be unpredictable, day-to-day.

Re: Doom
Another angle on this process is the dynamic known as import-replacement. It means exactly what it sounds like: where you used to get stuff from other lands, you now make it here. It should be obvious that this can’t be accomplished overnight. But the question is: okay, when are you going to start? Part of the answer is: we can’t afford to put it off any longer. There’s an awful lot of stuff, from machine tools to pharmaceuticals to military equipment that we had better start making again — or else slide into collapse, perhaps even slavery to other powers.

“A lot?”
Then why not focus on China? China provides about 16% of US imports. That’s the largest of any country. But 16% is about 1/6. So why would you nuke the entire economy in a tantrum over 1/6 of the total? How does that make any sense at all?
