Y’all got any questions…

Post by Sudden Sam »

…about:

Chickens? Or chicken coops?

Concrete?

JFK’s assassination?

Cane vs walker?

I feel I have inadvertently absorbed vast gobs o’ knowledge in these realms due to my table’s proximity to a group of five very country gentlemen at a remote little restaurant just now.

Any thoughts about using chicken poop for garden fertilizer? I've heard you can take some of the "heat" out by drying it in the sun and applying it as a powder.

What’s the optimum proportion of sand, coarse aggregate, water and Portland cement when pouring an 8” thick pre-stressed concrete slab?

A former coworker used it and his peppers were fantastic.

Shit. Pressure’s on now. And I have no time to try to be clever.

I’ve passed the queries on to the 5 guys. I’m sure they’ll register shortly in order to satisfy your quest(s) for enlightenment.

They used an abacus to figure out the tip.

Ask 'em for takes about the creator of white people, Yakub:

Image

from wiki
Yakub (also spelled Yacub or Yaqub) is a figure in the mythology of the Nation of Islam (NOI) and its offshoots. According to the NOI's doctrine, Yakub was a black Meccan scientist who lived 6,600 years ago and created the white race. According to the story, following his discovery of the law of attraction and repulsion, he gathered followers and began the creation of the white race through a form of selective breeding referred to as "grafting" on the island of Patmos; Yakub died at the age of 150, but his followers continued the process after his death. According to the NOI, the white race was created with an evil nature, and were destined to rule over black people for a period of 6,000 years through the practice of "tricknology", which ended in 1914.

If they are truly aged, they need to be prepared to meet their maker, and there he is (assuming they are white, of course)

If I run into them again, I’ll be sure to bring this up. Should lead to quite an animated conversation…as well as to endear me to the entire clientele.

Being from Alabama, I shouldn’t feed the stereotype as I did just now. The place has regular black diners and everyone seems to know and like one another. I eat there regularly, but feel like an interloper, other than to the waitresses.

Please specify the specific gravity of all but the water (1.0). Also, is the coarse aggregate crushed stone or river gravel? Air entrainment? Pozzolans? Portland cement type?

I see you’ve made friends with Google. You neglected to mention water hardness. I guess the answer to all of those would be “it depends.”

I’ve never been employed in the industry but did have occasion to visit several large plants in SoCal, and learn a few things about the process, reviewing some large energy efficiency projects. Prolly the most fascinating industrial facilities I saw.

Oh okay.

you figments are losing the plot. What you need to do is sit around all day and think about Yakub, then post the results of your ruminations, if those pathetic misfirings you conceive of as your "minds" can handle the task. ffs smh

oh the evil raysis whiii men among them will thrill at the chance to learn their origin story. the other ones will thrill at the chance to learn their oppressors' origin story. Good on you for being considerate to members of your community.

Being from Alabama, I shouldn’t feed the stereotype as I did just now. The place has regular black diners and everyone seems to know they are stuck with and grudgingly 'tolerate' one another. I eat there regularly, but feel like an interloper, other than to the waitresses.

I've been ruminating on my whiteness.

In some ways it's logical to think my people were created in a petri dish by a combination of shaman magic and weird science. How else do you get such an effective combination of hard work, good looks, inginuity, social order, and creativity? Assuming a master race developed organically out of the jungle is a bit silly now that I've thought about it.

Where is the missing link between tribal groups that mostly kill each other with sticks and drag women off by their hair, and the castles and queens of Europe? History seems to skip the intervening social development between mud huts and the type of technological advancement that spans rivers, tames seas, and smooths the processes of transportation and economic development.

So thanks, Jobu, or whatever your name was. You brought the world good luck after a season of darkness and despair.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.
