torrents are good, but very unreliable. and you hardly ever find any albums ripped higher than 192kbps. i myself use a site called AllofMp3.com. It does cost very little money most albums coust under a dollar, and you can choose your bitrate (128, 192, 320) I always download at 320.

Heres an example. Lets see what do you fuckers like here, Rush yeah lets go with one of theirs:

Rush-Exit Stage Left

128kbps=$1.37
192kbps=$2.05
320kbps=$3.43

so yeah it costs a little jack. but the downloads are super fast. and the collection is unreal. i doubt youll ever not find what your looking for. and your still getting it dirt ass cheap.

heres what it has cost me so far:

User Name *******
Account Type Traffic Subscription
Personal discount 2%
mp3
Downloaded files 1688
Total size 13.68 Gb
Total sum $103.655

13 gigs for a hundred bucks..not to shabby.

ive been downloading music since 98' and this is by far the cheapest, easiest no bullshit way to get music if you ask me. P2P is like playing russian roulette. torrents are good but i think only for movies. so anyway there my $.02.

Search for the thread Patsy Stone started about this site.

Albums range from $.99 - $1.39 and album, or $.10 a song. The downloads are crystal clear CD quality and it's legal. No spyware, no shit downloads, no cowbell.

I'm lovin' it.

Remember when the Grammy's had that "PSA" bit on how downloading hurts the "artists"? They did a demonstration on how a bunch of college kids cound download thousands of songs for free in one day using Napster.

I bet the record companies wish they had it so easy now.

These days I mostly download bootlegs, old OOP records and advanced copies of releases I'll probably buy anyway.

If you want to get quality stuff I really suggest you learn how to use newsgroups. You can start by asking your ISP how to access their servers, but most likely you'll want to get a premium account. Services like Easynews cost like $10 a month, and using a program called a newsreader, you can find more music than you could ever download.

I use that method sometimes.

Otherwise I buy them for .99 a song from the Real player store. I don't need whole albums and shit and they have a damn good selection.
