How will this effect the CFB playoffs?
Could be that all the teams will be from the B1G and ACC anyway.

Probably untrue about the leader of the SECBSHers. Article written by the son of the grandson of Adolph Hitler.Mikey wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 6:09 pm https://www.barrons.com/articles/sec-ch ... y-7eb9b95a

This is one of my biggest disappointments with the GOP. They should be bringing spending way down and across the board. Eliminating whole cabinet level departments would s a start, but they should push for massive spending cuts.smackaholic wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:00 pm One of the issues I had with orange Hitler first time around was when he started squawking about the Fed returning interest rates back to reality.
He wanted to continue free money forever, because well, who doesn't like free shit RIGHT FUKKING NOW!!!!! Fukk people who might want to put their savings in something safe like CDs.
He could have sited rates returning to normal as a sign that we were finally recovering from the economic ditch we ran into in '08, but he was more worried about keeping the economic fire burning hot through the 2020 election.
That was a good political strategy....until CV buttfukked the economy in the mouf.

Whoa there, Trigger. Aren’t you jumping the gun a little here? I know you’re all excited about the election and stuff but, based on my admittedly inferior public education, I’m pretty sure there’s not much cutting and slashing they can do before January 20.Left Seater wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:41 pm

Jumping the gun? They should have been talking about this for at least a decade and should be talking about it non-stop now.Mikey wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 8:06 pmWhoa there, Trigger. My (already admittedly) inferior public education says that "should be bringing" is in the present continuous tense, as in already doing it, not talking about it.Left Seater wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 2:02 pmThey should be bringing spending way down and across the board. It’s not a matter of grammar. It’s a matter of you trying to deny that you said what you actually said.Left Seater wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 6:16 pm You want to play in grammar smack land, then what part of the GOP currently controls the House don't you understand?
What’s there to believe or not to believe? That MTG was appointed to head the subcommittee? Or are you saying that she’s actually a brilliant legislator who commands the highest respect from all of her colleagues?
Anything to avoid the topic at hand eh? I guess that’s what we can expect after getting swept.Mikey wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 6:45 pmIt’s not a matter of grammar. And maybe you could explain how the House can unilaterally eliminate entire cabinet level departments..

Topic at hand? So now you’re changing the subject to try and save face. Brilliant move.Left Seater wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 8:50 pmAnything to avoid the topic at hand eh? The House doesn’t have to pass any deficit spending bills.
They'll need a little help. House passes a spending bill nuking a department or departments. Senate passes said bill using reconciliation and the President signs the bill into law.

I’m so glad you posted this, Mikey. AOC is the heart and soul of middle class America and, of course, the 14th district of New York.
