He was fired from his position of Chancellor, but is on paid admin leave
as he is still a tenured professor. I think the guy may have a decent case for wrongful firing
if they actually fire him out right. Doesn't it damn near take an act of congress to remove
a tenured professor?

Harvard is a joke. Their reputation is damaged beyond repair because of Gay. Applications are down as compared to their rival Ivy League schools.

How many peer reviewed academic papers have you authored? Less than one, I'm betting. Yes, Gay absolutely deserves criticism and punishment for loosely attributing material in her papers. Elite academics should have the rules applied to them.
But the only reason you know this woman's name in the first place is that she stupidly played into the hands of ignorant and bigoted GQPers operating an Islamophobic circus. The IDF is committing genocide in Gaza and a bunch of Jews got their feelings hurt because Palestinians are rightfully criticizing them over this. And the GQP is trying for another scalp because she happens to be a black woman who shave her head and wears funny glasses and won't flush free speech on campus down the toilet because Jews' feelings got hurt.
The GQP---once again, not doing anything to actually improve the quality of life of Americans. More culture war bullshit.

I despise academic fraud.
Universities should be a bastion of honesty and creativity. Instead we too often are burdened with cheats like this unqualified person. Harvard has suffered immeasurable damage to their reputation because of their misled determination to adhere to woke philosophy.
Maybe the pendulum is swinging back to fairness and merit-based appointments.

She won’t be leading the Crimson, but green shouldn’t be a problem.
Outgoing Harvard University president Claudine Gay will still likely earn nearly $900,000 a year despite being forced to resign her position as the school’s top administrator.
Political science professor Gay — who stepped down amid a tempest of allegations that she did not do enough to combat antisemitism and academic plagiarism Tuesday — will return to a position on the Cambridge, Mass., school’s faculty.
Prior to being named president just six months ago, Gay earned $879,079 as a faculty of arts and sciences dean in 2021 and $824,068 in 2020, according to records published by the university.
Her new position was not specified Tuesday, but she is expected to receive a salary comparable to what she previously received — if not higher.

There has to be many academics across the land who are sweating today, knowing they are a Google search away from being outted for plagiarism.
Good thing it wasn’t around during my brief college stay. I pretty much copied a book about the Beatles for a paper in a music appreciation class. The paper got an A.
Gay would have weathered her ridiculous defense of indefensible antisemitism, but plagiarism not so much. Too many smoking guns.

Why would I condemn Ackman?
His wife is not the president of an Ivy League school.
No telling how many teachers should be let go for cheating.
I would suggest schools get rid of every prof and administrator who has committed plagiarism.
