The Doc stirred up some shit by releasing his all-time starting five, and his all-time second team.

Oscar Robertson
Jerry West
Elgin Baylor
Bill Russell
Wilt Chamberlain

Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
Karl Malone
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
He is taking a dump on players of the last couple of decades, and I find that a little bit cathartic, actually.
But a few comments should be made.
1. Placing Wilt and B. Russell on the starting five is a cop-out. You've got to pick one of them.
2. Tim Duncan belongs on that second team in place of K. Malone.
3. LeBron not being found anywhere is wack.
4. The whole thing, while somewhat amusing is wack. You can only judge players by how they did in their own era, and so yes, there were great players prior to Dr. J's time. He has chosen to honor them. Elgin Baylor is on an all-time top five? Really?
5. This is fun, but also just a lot of noise.

I still say if I was in a game of 2 on 2 and I could pick a player in his prime with me, it would be Wilt.

Good points. But Duncan was definitely on the better team. So, were the Spurs great largely because of Duncan? Or was Duncan great because he was on a better team? It's a good question. They say great players make their teammates better, so you might win the argument here.

Nope.
If he had a FT % over 50% or could hit a 10 ft jumper, I’d agree. But he couldn’t.
Too many other big men that could do more than dunk. And that’s enough to make up for lacking his unmatched combination of size/strength.

If you want to call the small forward a "guard."
You shouldn't have two point guards on an all-time starting five, just like you shouldn't have two centers on an all-time starting five.
Dr. J. felt a desperate need to include Wilt, Kareem, and Bill on his two units, and there was no way for him to accomplish that other than to place two centers on one of the teams.
He should have nutted up and left one of the three off.
Sometimes you've got to make the difficult choices.
You can't have an all-time starting five and have Magic Johnson and John Stockton both on the unit.
