Saw Journey last night

Not the biggest journey fan, but the OL like pretty much every white chick of her vintage, is. Decent enough show. They played all their late 70s, early 80s gay but hugely popular stuff. They played a new tune that was actually decent.

Anyhoo, here is my shit review.

Neil Schon can still shred

Steve Smith is a fukking beast on the drum kit. Worth mention in any discussion of rock drummers.

Their bass player is adequate and has very nice hair

That Filipino midget can sing the fukk out of any Steve Perry tune.

Watching 58 year old chicks pretend they are still 22 is funny and sad all at once.

Well written, to the point, and probably spot on.

I heard some blues recording by Neil Schon the other day on SiriusXM. No idea when it was recorded but it was pretty damn impressive.

I'll be going to see the Doobie Brothers in August.

Is that going to be that "classic" thingy? I think journey is part of it.

Sorry fellas, but Journey & Doobie Bros concert posts belong in the old men's concert plans thread.

Sincerely,

It really is kind of depressing these days to look around at the crowd during any of the last few concerts I've been to. Is this a rock concert or Denny's during the early bird special.

We saw Brian Wilson on the Pet Sounds tour a few weeks ago. The band was fantastic. BW needed help to get on and off the stage. Al Jardine's son sang some of Carl's parts. The audience loved it but, dayum, I think I was one of the youngest people there.
