I remember them being called a Siberian Express. Like it's something new. Just as long as there is not a patch of snow somewhere up in NW Canada that never melts in summer and is growing. Keep warm.

Our TV weathermen called them Alberta Clippers. Just a very normal atmospheric reaction to a massive low pressure system. No need to barren down the hatches.

This polar vortex is something that's supposed to affect you people in the lesser parts of the country.

This is bullshit.

Now, Mr. Pacific is supposed to throw some moisture into the mix.

I heard it was -25 in Casper Wyoming this morning. That's messed up.

What's even more messed up is I get home from work today and the furnace isn't working. Supposed to get down to about 19 here overnight

I have 3 space heaters keeping it fairly comfortable for the moment. Hope they don't blow the circuit breakers. Guess I'll call somebody tomorrow to come out and fix the fucker.

I could sure use some global warming right about now.

It's pretty cold. Going from nice, balmy fall weather to mid-winter deep freeze in one day kinda blows. I still had a couple tomatoes going.

That is enough to stop all those fucking bike riding filthy hipsters in Portland.

When I looked out at 5 am and saw nothing I was not surprised.

Pretty big fail by the National Weather Service, who usually hits it pretty accurate, despite their government ownership.

Sinclair! We used to have a place there up until about 17 years ago. I pretty much know just about every square inch of that lake. Where on it were y'all?

man it's been a while...if i can remember correctly..on the south side of it. ( i was in 5th grade so it's been a minute). Man me and a couple buddies were some shits. We'd swim around the lake...climb up on people's little docks...grab their chairs and take em intot he water about chest deep....we did that all night one time
