it's a good hire. Grant was going to get a "power conference" type job eventually and Bama was ahead of pack on getting the process started.

APOLOGY TO FANS OF THE TIDE TIMES
BY NICK TAYLOR

I first want to say I stand by what I reported I was wrong, but the source for my IZZO story was a relative of COACH SABAN that had given me tons of credible information in the past. There are many out there that want to redicule me at this point for being wrong as if I am the ONLY journalist who was ever wrong or was misinformed by a source on a story... but if you want to hate or crack on me it is a free country so you have the right to your opinion... PERHAPS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO QUESTION MY CREDIBILITY BUT PLEASE DO NOT QUESTION MY HONESTY INTEGRITY OR CHARACTER... BTW AS OF LATE FRIDAY MY SOURCE ON THE IZZO STORY POINTS OUT A FORMAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN GRANT AND UA HAS STILL NOT BEEN SIGNED...
Hey Sam,

Same shit............................different year.

I guess I can take that Purdue jersey off layaway and not worry about calling Indy Frisco for fellatio lessons.

You just gotta understand, as an MSU fan, this stuff comes up every single year. It's standard operating procedure. I just wait for the sillyness to subside. It has ever since he won the title nine years ago. Every single year, fans of multiple teams say his name is floating around -- or in the Bama case that the deal is all but signed, sealed, and delivered. Fans of top notch programs, fans of mediocre programs, you name it. If you ask Arizona fans they'll tell you Izzo is still on his way to Tucson, and those rumors first started after Lute Olson announced his retirement. It's all just getting to be so tired and played out. I think some of it has to do with the fact Izzo always picks up the phone and listens to the offer. Not exactly his style to say eff off, but in the end it's thanks, but no thanks.

He ain't going to UK either, but at least that one is more reasonable.

i doubt Bama is diff. they know who the future donors are going to be....and it ain't Chi-O MIssy working at the gentlemen's club in Atlanta who is now thinking she'll be the CEO of her own make-up company.
