Still feel that way following the five-game sweep at Fenway? Remember, the Yanks now have a 6 1/2 game lead. There are only three games left head-to-head, and those are at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox will have to win at least 2 of 3, then get lots of help. And 14 of the Yanks' 20 remaining road games are against the four worst teams in the AL (Tampa Bay, Baltimore, KC and Seattle).

I'm not saying that the fat lady has sung yet, but I'm really liking my team's chances right about now. Of course, in the past, the regular season was mainly about playoff seeding for the Yankees and Red Sox, but this year there's a good chance that the AL Central will get the wild card berth.

Sox still have 3 with CHW and 3 with MIN. Wildcard ain't over yet......

He said the AL Central would most likely win the wild card. I simply stated that the Sox have plenty of games left with both teams ahead of them and that the wildcard wasn't over yet. So what am I bitter about? Actually with the way things have been around here sportswise I have nothing to be bitter about. If they don't make the playoffs then so be it.......

Th hates the Sox thats why he posted that. He got tired of being screwed by them year after year. Most fans of the Sox have not given up yet.....

Actually, I said there's a good chance the wild card will come out of the AL Central. By no means am I discounting the Red Sox, just yet anyway. In fact, I think I even said that the fat lady hasn't quite sung yet in the AL East.
