So what's up with the sideline dude wearing a hardhat and doing a "remote" from the backhoe? I guess ABC is pretty pumped for this prime-time game, with an opening feature about how the stadium is going to be torn down.
Nice touch, with the hardhat. I guess the producer of tonight's game was trying to be "creative." Nice job, ABC. Fucking grasping douches.

Well, it's a tie game.
But I really can't
wait to hear more about how the stadium is going to be torn down, as I was promised, before the game started.

Mikey, Terry, are you guys watching this game?
14 all, with a breakdown of how the stadium is going to be torn down and rebuilt in 9 mos., according to the douchebag "commentators."
Keith Jackson, with a mightily disappointed producer in his ear: "Well, we have ourselves a ballgame."
Thanks, Keith.
Thanks, for reminding us that there is, actually a ball game.

Why can't they swing the wrecking ball into the pressbox now?

Keith Jackson:
Quinn, Looking all around aaaaaaand he completes it, no it's intercepted.
Beautiful Keith, (king of the fuckups, sure wish your apprentice, Brent, would DIE)

Hey, what's Tommy doing wthout his hardhat on? Isn't this stadium coming down immediately after this game is over?
I mean, dude, protect yourself, you don't actually have to report from the sidelines close, to where the stadium might come down, do you?
insert a few rolling eyes icons here ....
Opps. I mean, stay tuned. it's a great game.
We'll be right back, but standby for the halftime show.
Sincerely, ABC.

Actually I turned it off after the first ND touchdown.
Had to go make dinner and such.
Pretty surprising halftime score, but Stanford has been known to play even with or ahead of superior teams until the fourth quarter and then roll over.
That's why opposing teams love the Cardinal. They can look good making a great comeback.

ABC to Charlie Weiss:
Coach, what happened out there?
Weiss:
I don't know, but we need to do more.
ABC:
Coach, tell us what you really think!
Weiss, giving ABC a look and the reporter wanting to love him:
ABC commentators:
Yes! It's a classic!

Personally, I'm about to throw up, given the "fine" announcers for this game. Goddamn it's pathetic. ABC's lust for Notre Dame is without bounds.
No offense Terry and Killian.

I would image NBC is feeling left at the alter right about now.
Keith Jackson is the biggest front runnin' butt kisser since Mussolini.
I'm wonderin' how long till he spins the Wolverines into the equation.
Hey, maybe a Michigan contractor will be doin' the demo of the staduim.
That'll open the door. Be on the look out.

However, that Notre Dame ball girl has the nicest ass I've seen on anyone's sideline this season.

So has the stadium been torn down yet, or is it "a good game," according to Keith.
Did I miss Tommy's breakdown of
how the stadium is going to be torn down?
And did I just here Keith say:
Hold on to your pussy

Nice kicking game there, ND.
Stanford may just win this one.

Fouts you dumb fuck.
Why is it a break for Stanford that ND called a TO with 1:50 to go?
The clock is NOT a factor for Stanford at this point. They have three plays to punch it in.

TD!!!!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!
I still expect ND to win it with a FG, though.

Keith Jackson: "They're four yards away from Hallelujah Land."
Edit: "Here's Stanford now, with three cracks, at winning this ball game."

Think there's enough time for ND?
Your thoughts, ABC?
ND is going to win this game.

So is their stadium being torn down, or am I watching my local newscasters, about to hyperventilate, over something that was in the paper, at 7 a.m. today?
Damn, I was sooo hoping ABC would tell me about how Stanford's stadium will go down and rebuilt, within 90 days, especially with Todd explaining to me.
I might have missed the halfime show, with that gripping story.

Funny, I never heard about the stadium coming down until about a week ago.
About time, I guess, but fucking sad.
That place has a lot of history.
My dad an my brothers and I spend a lot of Saturday afternoons there.
I walked up and down the steps for two seasons carrying an ice-filled metal box selling Pepsi and Mug Rootbeer in cans.
Good times.

RF,
I was watching the game. As it usually entails a fight to hang onto the TV long enough to watch a college game in my house, it's never advisable for me to post during the game.
I was sweating that one out, a real barnburner at the end. Glad we pulled it out. Once again the kicking game surfaces as a potential Achilles heel for us, reminds me of the mid-to-late 1990's.
OTOH, I should note that I've never bought into the "Harris is a terrible coach" party line so prevalent on this board (and the fact that JON is one of its leading proponents should tell you something). His teams always play us tough, in any event.
But a w is a w and I'll take it. I just hope it's enough to get us into the BCS.

I have enough TV's, but only one computer.
To watch the game on another TV while being on the computer at the same time, I'd need to be about 30 feet tall. Just sayin'.

Great thread in general and RF was busting me up big time but this one's my winner...
Keith Jackson is the biggest front runnin' butt kisser since Mussolini.
That one was so out of left field obscure and downright nasty that I was proud to've read it on this board. I laughed.

Fitzpatrick's leg injury against Syracuse appears to be more serious than first known. You could tell on his first two extra points and the fact that he wasn't kicking off. His leg injury, added with Quinn's poor play in the first half, led to this game coming down to the wire.
