I never speak about this issue with people.
People completely trip out about it.

It it only in this forums that I engage in the discussion.

That said, the delusion that the earth is a random rock (one of 20 sextillion such rocks) flying in space, and that man is a mere evolved animal, is one of THE greatest impediments that have been put up in order to dissuade people from believing in God.

With a flat, stationary, enclosed Earth, it is not very easy to deny a Creator.

Thank fucking god (your head just exploded) that you don't disseminate/spread this completely ignorant, inaccurate, and woefully shortsighted garbage to our youth. I sincerely hope that you are truthful when you say that you never speak about this with people.

You're so close, yet so so far away.

You are denying a full appreciation of the creation. You're not giving the Creator full credit. If there was a Creator, then she's wondering why you are looking at only a minute part of it and not realizing the full creation.

I am happy to know that you agree with me that it is not a fact that the earth is a spinning, flying globe with a circumference of nearly 25,000 miles.

Facts and theories are two different things. In the scientific method, there is a clear distinction between facts, which
can be observed and/or measured, and theories, which are scientists' explanations and interpretations of the facts.

You have clearly demonstrated the validity of my statement:

"The theories are consistent with observable facts, like the "theory" that the earth is round. To claim otherwise requires disregarding the obvious observable evidence and twisting yourself into impossible knots to form some other conclusion."

You deny the overwhelming evidence of observable facts indicating that the earth is (almost) round, in favor of a bunch of a bunch of nonsensical made up shit that's not even observable.

I promote no model of the Earth, because I do not know.

It is just my assumption that the Earth is flat, and that is based on what is observable.
We are stationary, and the lights in the sky move in a circuit above us.
Water does not bend around a ball and stay there, and especially when the ball is flying and spinning.
It is completely preposterous.

What facts do you observe that tell you that the Earth is a flying, spinning globe?

I guess you don’t believe in the theory of gravity then. OK.

Poptart.

How do you fly in the same direction without turning around and end up in the same place where you started?

Is it a magic trick?

Take a stake (not steak) and tie a 20 ft rope to it.
Go up to the North Pole and pound the stake into the ground (ice).
Pull the rope tight and then begin walking east.

Keep walking until you return to where you began.

Did you walk a straight line?

Now do the same hypothetical exercise at 34 North Latitude.

Did you travel a straight line?

Poptart, if you are standing on the North Pole, any direction you go in is south.

You cannot go east.

Google it, read about it until you understand it.

In the example, you are 20 ft away from the North Pole.

From that position, you can travel east, west, south, or north.

Rack Rooty!

Love the bass line and the horns.

Is this a theme thread ?

Ok, lets head out as far west as you can go and head to Paradise and the San Francisco Bay Area and hear what Fat Eddy and his kick ass band have to say.

Poptart. Can you get to The City on a 20 foot rope?
