Chinese scientists are planning “ominous” experiments similar to those that could have triggered the Covid pandemic, experts have warned.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) published new research this month announcing it had found a bat coronavirus that can enter human cells, similar to a Covid-19 infection.
The paper concludes with calls for “further investigation” into strains that have more infectious spike proteins, as well as testing in human transgenic mice.
Ominous Experiments
Dr Alina Chan, a biosecurity expert and co-author of Viral: The Search for the Origin of Covid-19, said: “The paper ends on an ominous note – describing a set of future experiments similar to what might’ve led to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Gary McLean, honorary senior research fellow at Imperial College London, said: “Hopefully the Chinese authorities now have good surveillance systems in place and the laboratories work to rigid safety standards that minimise the risk of spillover occurring.”
It should be made clear to the Chinks that a repeat of one of the most globally destructive events via a virus would certainly bring with it a level of accountability unseen in the history of the planet.

I preferred hard courts, mostly because that is what I grew up playing on.
I played with an eastern forehand grip, and nearly all good clay court players are using a western (or semi-western) grip on the forehand.
The footing on clay is much different than it is on a hard court, and that was something I never got fully comfortable with.
To do well on clay courts, I think it helps a bunch if you grew up playing on them.

A big market correction has been overdue for a couple decades. We've been living on bubbles for too long and I suspect this downturn has a lot less to do with tariffs and more to do with the realization that bubble time is ending. This POTUS is going to let the system stabilize itself.
Trump prides himself on "numbers" and I don't think he loves market instability but I know he needs money shifting into the bond market before people realize how fukked the USD is.
