Spending some quality time with my son. He wanted Xmas music. I wanted something the radio won't offer.

It's the final day of 2014, meaning it'll be amateur hour on the streets in and around DC (where your friend and mine, Screwy, happens to live, in case you haven't gotten the memo), and perhaps in your neck of the woods as well. While there may be plenty of parties and other fun events I could attend, I won't, as has been the case for the past several years. You, on the other hand, may decide that staying in on New Year's Eve isn't your cup of tea, and will leave the comforts of home to ring out the old and ring in the new. But I'm guessing perhaps a few of you feel the same as I do and will avoid the inherent risks of driving or otherwise hitting the road with all the drunken a-holes. If you are one of those, an option available to you may be to check into TuneTown, where yours truly will be spinning tunes and hosting a virtual year-end celebration to which all are invited. So fuck dead Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest - New Year's Rockin' Eve will be in the 'Town, not NYC. So tune in and dig the sounds comin' your way tonight beginning around 9 pm Eastern from T1B Radio!

Seems like a good night to order a carry out pizza.

Damn straight I'm staying home, glad to know a special edition of TT is on tap. I may have a request or two I haven't thought of yet, just to annoy the honorable DJ.

TIA, Smackie

I don't like change and departures from the norm, but I'll check in with some of my usual lame requests to keep you on track.

Tonight's show was a tribute to my Mom (well, the first couple hours, anyway), who passed a year ago, so I invited a buncha family members to join me in the 'Town tonight. The turnout from both family and resident TuneTownians was overwhelming, and the vibe I got was that we all had a real good time. Family members who came in were my Dad, my sister, my three brothers, a nephew, one of my nieces and her husband, two of my kids, my son-in-law, and a grandson (Ivo). Citizenry included FLW_Buckeye, Dinsdale, BarFlie, Wolfman, mamamustanger, poptart, Diego in Seattle, War Wagon, Moving Sale, Moby Dick, Roger_the_Shrubber, and FudgeHammer. Unfortunately, I was unable to save the set list, which was a damn good one, too, imo. Thanks to all for stopping by.

Good stuff, Smackie, and it was very cool to see your family represent that way.
