There might be a few more bucks in it for them, but other than that, why would Texas leave a conference where they get a disproportionate % of the revenue for a real one that splits it evenly, where they would go 4-4 in conference play?

In 1929, the highly respected Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement
of Education issued a significant report regarding intercollegiate athletics
and made the following finding:
A change of values is needed in a field that is sodden with the
commercial and the material and the vested interests that these
forces have created. Commercialism in college athletics must be
diminished and college sport must rise to a point where it is esteemed
primarily and sincerely for the opportunities it affords to
mature youth.

Boy, you really got me there!
I can't even remember the last time the Ducks played in a New Year's Six Bowl...
Oh, wait -- it was this year.
But before that, we have to go all the way back to... the year before.
Shall we stop now -- because we can keep going for a while.
They've almost lapped Texas in NY6 bowls this century.
Were you trying to sound dumb? It worked.

The Ducks are the Texas of the PAC-12. All that talent and they usually find a way to piss themselves in a game they should win.
