Sure sounds nice, but I have little confidence in our AD and wouldn't be surprised if he botched the entire thing.

Nonetheless, it probably is a done deal until Herbstreit says it's a done deal.

Tressel would require :bode: ?

His stock is so low I'm not sure 88's son's football team would hire him. Then again, he didn't cover up any child rape, so he's got that going for him.

Tressell's 'offense' in the Pac 12 would be kind of funny to see.

Then again, it's not as if UCLA isn't well used to getting shut out, so what the fuck, why not?

Ohio State's perfect for him. It's his home and he'll be able to recruit pretty well even thru these rough times. He'll get 'em back to the top of the Big Ten within 5 years or less (depending on sanctions.)

They need a big name like Meyer to fix things. Of course, he recruited a shitload of thugs at Florida, so be ready for a slew of arrests.

Guess he got tired of seeing his family so often. :meds:
ACTUALLY, he will be a contender right from the gitgo, and heres why.

Do you guys understand that Braxton is fuckin PERFECT for Meyer's option system? Do you fuckin understand that?
This kid is lights out dual threat athlete personified. And, he was just a freshman to boot, imagine when Urban gets him under his wing?
HERE is the BEST PART, Michigan is back, ohio st will be better, and so will Nebraska. The way I see it, the balance of power is shifting to the big ten.
FUCK the sec, within the next couple of years, the big ten will be the premier conf in football.

You have to understand one thing about me, I dis-respect the sec, ALWAYS HAVE. See, back in the nineties, ALL I would here was sec this, and sec that. ALL day long. So this begs the question, back in the nineties, how come when nebraska squared off against the sec champs twice, they raped em' and dry sodomized em like lil girls?

See, it would be one thing if the games were actually close or competitive, BUT, when you take the sec champions, not once, but twice? And brutally sodomize em and humiliate em, thats another thing entirely.

The big ten is about to enter into a new decade, one where I fully expect Michigan, Ohio st, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and maybe even Penn st and the spartans to all be excellent.
That being said, the cycle is about to begin where the sec will take a back seat to the big ten.
I said it, and I fully expect this to be the case.

I'm looking forward to Cal going into "the shoe" next year and playing against Urb.

Should be interesting since Tedford and Urb are best friends.

Meyer said that...the guy who had 28 of his thugs arrested while he was at UF! Poor guy. He'll carry on the Clarett tradition quite well at tOSU.
Sounds like someone's bitter a "Yankee" went down south and kicked the shit out of everyone.

Strange scene at Meyer's live press conference. One of the camera dudes had a heart attack or something. The camera filming Meyer started shaking, and wound up filming the ceiling. Next you hear people yelling to get EMS in there.

New inside sources indicating it will be Petersen...has a kid with cancer that could be treated at the UCLA med ctr....and a deal worth about 4 mil annually....A little nervous with consideration of the past coaches with success from Boise....Dirk Koetter, Dan Hawkins....but anything will be better than Neuheisel....I'd have preferred Leach.

The Seer, for starters, what sort of coach do you want? A defensive-minded guy like Carroll, or a balls-out offensive guy like a Mike Leach?

I just know I sure as hell don't want to see the spread offense proliferate any further into this conference. It's like an article I just read that discussed ways to break the SEC's current cycle of dominance. The author's #1 suggestion was for the Big XII to ditch these pussy spread offenses and go back to hitting people in the mouth.

If I'm a UCLA fan, yep, that's the direction I'd want them to take. Job One needs to be: Get tougher. UCLA has been so goddamned soft for so freaking long now, that's the very first issue they must address. Stop the run while developing a pass rush.

The guy they needed was Harbaugh. Yeah, he's more of an offensive-minded coach, but the hallmark of his teams is that they're mentally tough and physically powerful up front, and they don't beat themselves. Pretty much, that's any of your recent SEC champs, the better Ohio St teams, and most any late-season Pete Carroll USC squad.

Yeah, good luck finding a new standard bearer like Harbaugh....He is the name dropped to show a coach that can turn a program around in a short time (1 yr). He also is proof that you can have a winner at a school with high entrance requirements (though those 1st two did also include Andrew Luck)....and he's strutting around the NFL in his 1st year as a Div champ....

No argument regarding the toughness aspect...

Okay, so with that being agreed upon, what sort of initial direction do you want to see UCLA take now? High-octane offensive powerhouse, or tough, rugged, win-ugly-if-need-be defensive scrappers?

Yeah, I read that article earlier today... and you're still not getting him.

You better get Leach before ASU or WSU gets him...

The problem with Leach is that he won't drop his lawsuit and schools won't hire him until he does.

The schools he's interviewed with wouldn't hire him if he didn't drop his lawsuit... still following ?

ASU, WSU, and fUCLA don't have any standards and would probably hire him anyway.

The new commissioner of the Pac is trying to limit non conference games to the first three weeks of the season. Its the SEC schools that seem to have that big cup cake every year in November, USC only has a cupcake every other November, its called Notre Dame

Allbarn in 2011

Ranked... # 104 out of 120 in total offense ???
