You know - I wondered where all of this B12BSH love for the MWC was from, and then it dawned on me - BYU beat OU in game 1. Yes, when last year's THIRD place MWC team walks into the Big XII's backyard to play the defending conference champs, in a stadium full of the other team's fans, knocks out th...

I agree, but they really tried hard to keep the "classic" part of it intact by at least bringing Pat Summerall back to the booth. Other than that, the whole tradition of the Cotton Bowl is as good as dead. Before the conference tie-ins, the only tradition the Cotton Bowl ever had was the ...

PS Isn't Money from NCAA Contract and tourney dished to all of the conferences? Something like 1/2 to schools and 1/2 to conferences, based on formulas. As in, conferences will get more based on the number of teams they get in, plus how well those teams actually did in the tournament going back 5-6...

Some thoughts: Jim Brown's name always gets put on this kind of short list and I don't have a problem with it, but in my mind, Payton is more deserving. Brown was an ultimate stud, no doubt, but he did QUIT when he had at least 3 or 4 more good years in the tank. There's a not so subtle difference ...

Not only did dude have nothing to throw to, but he had NOBODY in the backfield. Sammy Winder was a two time Probowler, and ran for 1,200 yards in '84. Vance Johnson and Mark Jackson were "nothing" enough to each last in the league eight seasons. Clarence Kay and Orson Mobley were decent T...

If Ingram had been involved in the game-winning drive against Auburn, which was the defining moment for their team, then he'd probably have this locked up.
I think Ingram still wins, with Suh and Gerhart splitting too many 1st place votes and not getting enough 2nds.

Nutt is like the Rick Majerus of CFB. He loves to be courted by someone else. I don't think Texas will lay down and quit before halftime the way Florida did, but they may want to consider leaving in a RB to block on pass plays every now and then, when it's demonstrated that your five can't block the other team's four. Saban's proving lethal when he gets second crack at a guy....

People give Tebow WAYWAYWAY too much credit for Florida's success. Florida wins with defense. If Tebow didn't even play this year Florida would've still gone 12-0.
