Honestly, my opinion of Mack Brown hasn't changed. I never thought he was a bad coach. A great recruiter...Average in gameday decisions. I didn't think he called a particularly brilliant game last night, Vince Young just took over. Actually, I still say both field goal attempts were the wrong call. ...

Vince Young = The Truth
I admit, I underestimated this kid. The Dude can flat out play. He might change the QB position, like Vick was supposed to. The Big 12 was better than I thought, but mostly it was Vince Young that was way better than I thought. I underestimated how big of an impact his size makes the most. He's like...

what Schmeck said. The NFL is a league where roughly half of the teams make the Playoffs. There are over 100 D1 Football teams and most playoff scenarios would have only 8, or at most 16 playoff spots. Oregon missed the BCS (theoretical 8 team Playoff) with only 1 loss. We also had high profile prog...

Brady Quinn's sister
I kept hearing her on the radio last week and all of this hype about her dating Hawk. Also, they kept talking about how she was in school for broadcasting and was going to be a sideline reporter. So, I was expecting some hottness there...but then I turn on the TV and see this horse faced chick that ...

Notre Dame, Oregon, Auburn...
...Just remembering that those were the 3 teams the "argument" for the last at Large Bid was going go to, if Notre Dame didn't wind up 6th to get the automatic bid. Notre Dame would have been chosen anyway...Just funny, to me, that all 3 teams lost their games. I still love college footbal...

The Big 12 is definately a lot better than people gave it credit for all year. In fact, it seems to me that every year this happens with some conference. Whichever (major)conference people spend all season bashing as having a down year always tends to end up performing the best in the bowls, forcing...

If gameday is before school starts(Sept 16, I think school starts by then, but maybe Jay knows for sure), unfortunately for you, Eugene can resemble a ghost town. Its been quite a few years now since I was in school there, but usually Sept 16th is actually before Fall classes start. Oregon is one o...

Ok..time to cool down...Now, my thoughts.. The game was a defensive battle, for the most part...or a better description would be offensive ineptness. It was one of the most boring games I've attended in a long time. It just wasn't fun..even when we were ahead, most of the first half it was no fun to...

This is the year he would leave, if he's going to, I'd bet. 3 (2.5) straight national titles in 3 seasons. 4 straight BCS victories. Reggie Bush, alone, has won a couple games a year that the Trojans likely would have otherwise lost. And they lose another Heisman winner along with Lendale White. Is ...

Is Oregon the #5 team in the country? Is PSU the 3rd? Is tOSU the 4th? is ND the 6th? Nobody can say for sure, of course, but I'd would certainly argue that Oregon is at least the 5th best, this season. Every team in the nation has flaws, and after USC and Texas, every team has blemishes on their r...

Yes Oregon has only one loss, but they also played a D-1AA team. As soon as one of those teams is on your schedule, you lose the right to bitch. non sequitur This argument would only hold water, if our playing a D-1AA team played any factor in our being left out of the BCS (if we do)....which is do...

Well, the 3 people who voted that if some other team had the same results as ND they would be in the BCS are just lying. But, like I said in a post last weekend, I am happy with the season we've had, BCS or not. The Holiday Bowl is a quick 3 hour drive for me, and I'll get to see us have an easy pat...

Like I said, I think we have a decent shot at the Fiesta Bowl. And whether it's against Penn State or Notre Dame, I don't really care. If you don't like that argument, how about this one: ND has a tougher schedule than Oregon. At least according to Sagarin, ND is 1-1 against teams ranked in Sagarin's Top 10, Oregon is 0-1 against Sagarin's Top Ten. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt05.htm How about that is a horrible argum...

2. As for Oregon going over ND, yes, ND did lose to a Michigan State team that finished 5-6. But that team was playing much better early on -- it seemed like the bottom fell out of their season when tOSU blocked that FG at the end of the first half and returned it for a TD. Weak argument. Michigan ...

Jay, PSU has a huge history with the Orange Bowl. ND will be selected by the Fiesta, then the Orange has to take a confrence winner. PSU fits that bill. The Fiesta will also end up with the second at-large pick. I'm very optimistic that ND will be selected by the Fiesta. Actually, the way I underst...
